@canadahealthwatch.bsky.social @McRocker I've seen this over the past days. It's my understanding that growing new islet cells isn't the problem with most type 1... autoimmune destruction is. The cells are trying to regrow all the time anyway. The patient is on immunosuppression...which is worse than diabetes. So not quite the breakthrough it's being made out to be, but maybe part of the larger puzzle.
