Played around with @CARROT a bit, and I think I have what I want on the home screen, at least for now.
Not sure if I'll keep all of these icons on my home screen, as I'm used to using app search from within Nova, so app search here works just as good and as quick.

What's going on with Janet Jackson? In an interview with The Guardian that was published on Saturday, she said of Kamala Harris "She's not Black" and went on to assert — incorrectly — that the vice president's father is white. Yesterday, someone claiming to represent her walked back those comments, saying they were "based on misinformation." Later, Jackson's reps walked back the apology, saying it was made by someone who is not her manager and therefore not authorized to speak on her behalf. Here's Variety's attempt to make sense of it.
Fun Canada Political Fact!
Even though Canada has only ever had Liberal or Conservative governments at the Federal Level, at the Provincial level, the Liberal Party brand is only active and polling at 2nd place or better, in 3/10 provinces.
According to https://338Canada.com
Federal: CPC 43% / Lib 24% / NDP 16% / Green 4%
Provincial 1st or 2nd in Polling:
CPC: 9/10
Liberal: 3/10
NDP: 6/10
Green: 1/10

*AB Party and SK Party are CPC for these purposes.

Good. Taking away representation from cities in red states has been a goal for Republicans and we’ve seen it happen. Doing it 5 weeks before Election Day is just for the sake of chaos.
Mike McDonnell - someone with integrity. It shouldn’t take bravery to do this but in 2024, in Trump’s GOP, it absolutely does.

@dbsalk How do they compare to Mariano’s tenders? I love me some Mariano’s tenders

Most of the reporting on the Georgia Election Board machinations in the mainstream legacy media have seemed to entirely ignored the recent passage of the new Electoral Vote Counting Act passed in the last Congress.
"A close read reveals that the legal and practical import of the rules will almost certainly not hamstring the certification of Georgia’s electoral vote."
