Finnish violinist and composer Jean Sibelius died #OTD in 1957.

The core of his oeuvre is his set of seven symphonies, which, like his other major works, are regularly performed and recorded in Finland and countries around the world. His other best-known compositions are Finlandia, the Karelia Suite, Valse triste, the Violin Concerto, the choral symphony Kullervo, and The Swan of Tuonela (from the Lemminkäinen Suite).

@madeindex Thank you for your comment on the Reddit thread! Semrush’s latest is very interesting. If I read this correctly, basically they have admitted that they messed up in how they extrapolate existing data—which IMO is not great considering they then feed this to their users. I wouldn’t mind knowing more so let’s see if they reply to my latest, but this is welcome progress. Shows how the tool is compromised by algorithms—sadly for me with damaging and time-wasting consequences.
